How did that go?

Tomorrow I will go for an early morning walk, then in the afternoon I'll take Kayleigh for her doctor appointment half an hour away. Then we will head to the shops for a bit of birthday and Christmas shopping.

I always hated doing spreadsheets in class. And not least because excel is a M$ defacaetio...ahem...OFFERING, pardon.

Always preferred to use the open versions of M$'s admin and other packages, from openoffice.

Just on principle if nothing else, to take the pound out of M$'s pockets. Although I suppose that principle becomes a little bent and squirrely if you'd not have been paying due to using pirated software in the first place if you were going to use microshite. Thats one thing, doing it and PAYING them for the software is another kettle of fish entirely.

Get a USB DVD drive for my computer. The built in drive died a few weeks ago, and I have quite the backlog of DVDs building up.

I need M$ version as it has to be compatible with what they have at college. At home we have the 2016 version and I am happy with that as Kayleigh pays for it. ;)

I have one of those USB DVD/CD rewriter drives, bought it for use with my laptop, because there wasn't space in it to include a CD/DVD drive with the likes of extra HDs (bought a large additional drive, either 4 or 6 TB one so I could be fairly sure I wasn't going to run out of space any time soon) and there wasn't enough room, after adding that, the fingerprint recognition scanner and various other bits and pieces. The drive itself is tiny, about the size of an average slice of bread if you cut the crust part off at where the bread slice turns from the curved edge to flat. Very lightweight, quiet. I recommend them, as at least so far I've never had a problem with it, worked perfectly. The only time it didn't, the issues were due to the piles of steaming dog shite known as windows 7 and windows 10 (the latter is absolutely the fucking pits, don't touch it with a twenty foot shitty stick, unless using said stick to flick the OS CD into a blazing fire.

I did that yesterday, we had a buffet and it was fun. They had hired a magician to keep us amused.

Helps that at least half of the people at work is spazzy.
