Hung out with the oldest and helped him get ready to go to his Dad's. Picked up my friend from the train station. Went out for dinner with another friend from my rescue. Had a blast.

Bought a new artificial christmas tree. Going to start fresh this year.
Also bought a hatchet to split wood
Got a few random groceries to finish off the Brunswick Stew I was making for dinner.
Started my christmas shopping. Got some cool stuff for the little one.

Took my son to the mall and had him play in the play area. Then I took him to the coin operated machines and then we got some ice cream and then I took him to the book store and had him play in the children's area while I read my ebook. Then I looked in Gamestop and he fell asleep on the way home.

Went to Peel Estate Winery for lunch with family. My nephew liked his present.

Dogs have always made me weak willed and lilly livered.  I just can't ever be harsh with them.  Just too endearing.

I have been a dogsitter for about 17 years, and the only time I ever smacked a dog
was when I thought he was about to attack another.  (It turned out they were just playing,
but the display of teeth scared me at that time.)  Dogs are wonderful.

I had a dream last night where I tried to play with a couple of rottweilers, but they got scared when I play-growled at them, panicked and started fighting with each other.

My cocker spaniel has a bad habit of growling and snapping at other dogs, and she's been attacked twice because of it; once by a labrador and once by a pair of Staffordshire terriers (both times while my mum was walking her; it hasn't happened while I've been walking her).  She doesn't try to hurt other dogs; she just tries to intimidate them and assert territorial dominance, or scare them off if they're making her nervous (which happens when large dogs keep coming too close to her).

She also sometimes growls and snaps at strangers who try to pet her; she's very friendly towards people she's familiar with, but she doesn't want to have anything to do with strangers.

Cooked my son some waffles, emptied the dishwasher, took out the recycling, and swept part of the kitchen.

Not much. Tried a couple of new compositions. I think it's possible to make violet with lithium carbonate and copper carbonate. Usually strontium carbonate is used, but I like to try odd things. On its own lithium carbonate is just pinkish, but it usually works fine when mixed with other colour donors  :nerdy:

Went to my father's condo and cleaned some of his disgusting mess while he is in the hospital.  I had to boil water and pour it on the dishes to get the dry caked on food off and used a paint scraper on his counters.  I took a very long very hot shower when I got home and I  almost want to burn the cloths I was wearing   :zombiefuck:
