Lunch at the café costs 85 kronor or about $12. For that you get salad, bread, water, coffee and a small desert included  :orly:

i was watching Luksusfellen earlier. The fact that I have no idea about maths beyond age 12 or so, let alone exchange rates made it sooooo easy to watch. In the UK version I was always like  :zombiefuck: :zombiefuck: :zombiefuck: here it's fine.

Anyway, my point was. I always thought $12 was like £12 and 85kr was like £8,50. I think I need to do some rethink. Last time I checked SEK/GBP rates (6 years ago) it was like 12% so I have rounded it around and just stuck w/ it.

I NEED TO RETHINK.

I had a blast this morning with the oldest. We met up with a group of homeschooling boys who are all into computers and they brought their laptops to a friend's place and played Minecraft together while us Mum's chatted. Really great boys, really great Mum's. Hoping to do this regularly.

Went to PA's doctor appt.  Have a follow-up visit to fill out paperwork in mid Oct and the surgery (bone graft) on his ankle is tentatively scheduled for mid-November.

Filled the emotional hole in me with apple pie and ice cream (pie a la mode) at the diner.

I'm sorry that he has to have this done and go through another long recovery.  I hope it goes well this time.

Thank you.  The only alternative was for him to wear a brace for the rest of his life.  He said he was relieved when he said Yes to the surgery.  We know the routine and have most of the things we need for his recovery.  The recovery time will be slower because of the bone graft, but I've told him he HAS to take a ride with me every 10 or so days to get him out the house. Yeah, right.

I hope that you are gong to be OK through all this long recovery, too.

Went to the post office to mail off a book.

My husband will also be wearing braces for the rest of his life. He now needs both now for each foot to support his ankles. It's either that or surgery but the chances me that he may never be able to walk again so he says no to surgery.

Too much for partly the wrong reasons.  At least I'm starting to realize more of what is good/helpful to my life and others.

Laundry. Tidying up. Put a roast in the crockpot for dinner. Picked up a friend from the station. Hung out with the eldest. Currently enjoying the company.

Working in downtown San Francisco the last two months. Today we saw the Space Shuttle fly over the city on the back of the 747(?) at about 10:30 am.

Drillled some holes, hung some mirrors and a framed poster, some cleaning, some grocery shopping, some cooking, attempted to watch a movie, but got very angry.
Oh, and heard someone tell too much about his obsession today.
* sigh *, when will I learn to say that it is more than enough in time.

took the PR to an urgent care clinic, she has an internal infection, picked up the Rx, bought a bed frame for her bed, cleaned (still cleaning) her room, fed the family, grocery shopped.  Not in that order.

Went out shopping for our home with husband and parents. Pulled my son around the block in his wagon, did some unpacking with my mother and tossed stuff in a box for charity or yard sale. Did a little cleaning.

Just made an emergency run to the store for gauze, pads, and antibiotic cream for the PR.  She was running in the street, fell down and banged up her left knee and hand, scraped the right foot and tore 1/4 of the big toenail on that foot.  Just gave her the pm meds along with the antibotic pill the doctor prescribed for her internal infection and a pain pill.

Picked up some butter pecan ice cream as my Rx for today.

Shaved heads are :viking:

QV, that is a rough time for the PR. Hope she feels better soon.

I have had breakfast, had a shower, had lunch, done some dishes and been on here.
