After Verizon I went with cable, much faster.

Then I moved, and although the houses 200ft in back of me have access to both DSL and cable, I don't...and they refuse to run it.

So....

So you have to wear a tinfoil hat to get online?   :tinfoil:

Close.

I go around with an antenna in my hand trying to find a good signal.

I have a no contract wireless modem I keep around for backup.

Cleaned out the van
Made phone calls :zombiefuck:
Went to the scrap yard and got $277 for a mixed load of copper steel, lead and aluminum

Demolished a closet, with the youngest. And tore most of the wallpaper of the wall the closet had been placed before demolition.

That saved the day.

Girls were bitchy and on edge towards eachother. Afternoon demolition really lifted the spirit.   :viking:

You are truly a one woman crusade of originality. Everything I read, I picture it in my head like a movie (which is why I'm careful about what I read because it's something I can't control and there's some stuff on here that scarred me :P ) but every time I read something like this about you, I start giggling.

I'm nuts, I know.
My son says it could be worse though, I could be boring.

Now if you did it nude, that would be noteworthy.  Being nuts around here is just plain vanilla.

Worked. Had a salary review with my boss. My, that was awkward.

Did he ... show you the money?  :dollar:

Not really.

My son came back after spending a week with his Dad and I was doing something goofy and he said "I forgot how absolutely hilarious you are"

Picked up my shoes.. they now have new rubber soles on them..

Went in shops I never visited before.. a Moroccan food store and a 'total' discounter.. bought a fine kitchen knife there. Only €2.. for a quite multi-purpose Sabatier knife. Um, cut my thumb with it this evening whilst chopping up an onion for a pasta dish.

Bought myself a bottle of port at a supermarket I rarely frequent too. Um, all above mentioned 'shops' are in a neighbourhood on the other side of the city.. I just don't come there often.

Made dinner, did the dishes, little stuff, etc..
