Went to a tag sale and bought a book from the 60's on "Hi-Fi" :green:
Went to the bank and ordered new checks after discovering I only had one left

My parents' house still contains their "Hi-Fi," which for years we were forbidden to touch!
My brother now plays their old vinyl records on it often.   :nicegear:

I like the books and they usually sell well too so I get them when I see them at 25 cents you can't go wrong

Drove up to my fathers and cut up and brought inside some fire wood.  Dropped the van off to get new tires.

Closed off the water supply to the outside tap. Night frost the coming days might ruin the pipes towards the tap. Also fed the birds outside and placed the 'green-garbage' container in the street. Um, didn't go to any supermarket today (kinda a novelty here). Made myself a simple dinner.

(other daily stuff but.. )

Woke up early due to massive amount of lightning and thunder. Went to train station early to go to autism group but ended up waiting 25 minutes because of delays due to the weather (if it rains, there is a delay ::) ). Stressed out the whole train trip thinking I would be late for the group. Rushed to get the CAT bus to the Autism Association. Got there just in time.

Got driven to a cafe where we in the group all had lunch. Saw a play (was pretty good because our group got priority to find seats in the theatre before everyone else was let in) called The Arrival. Was about a man travelling to a new place with different social rules, etc. and him trying to find a place to stay, food and a way to earn money so his family could be with him. There was no dialogue so I found some bits difficult to understand. I was more impressed by the way they used lighting and props I think. :D

After that I said goodbye to the group and went to a second-hand book shop and bought two Star Trek books. Then I caught the bus and train home. Was really hot all day, 37C.

Had coffee, swept the snow off the porch, got the boy off to school, having more coffee.

Need to break down the computer I found curbside yesterday, do :laundry:, make a batch of laundry detergent, and do some cleaning.

Took a much needed 3 hour nap at noon.  Feel more alert and slightly more energetic now.

Went to see my friend and a friend of hers hold a garage sale. I bought eight small origami books for $10. Also got some acrylic paints for free which I got for GA.

Screened a dozen or so short films for young children. There was an awesome animated one about a giggling crocodile, a minute or so long.

I love showing films to kids. They love watching them at a real cinema, they are inquisitive and they won't ever whine about the stuff that grown-up audiences will. All that matters is that they have fun.

And sometimes they come up to the booth and listen wide-eyed when I show them the projectors and all the equipment.

Awesome.

I didn't do what I thought I was going to (paint the pantry door). Instead I got my mum's birthday present in the mail so I took it around to her (it was a Kindle cover) and had lunch there. Then I went and did some grocery shopping.
