Drove south to visit a dear friend who's been stuck at home ever since his achilles tendon snapped a couple of weeks ago. They reattached everything but the convalescence period is looooooong and he's basically confined to his flat.

It was good to see him again.

Folded laundry, brushed out the dog hair on the floor of the van in the back. She's blowing her coat. I swear I could build another dog out of it all. Read a book and the news

Polished the handles on the kitchen cabinets and drawers. Contemplated why anyone would think textured brass is a good choice for hardware which gets touched everyday. The hinges are next. They aren't quite as dingy, so hoping they can be done without disassembly.

Washed the sheets on the bed, washed the kitchen floor with the swiffer mop thingy.  Did some dusting and cleaning of the sills of our main bedroom windows.  Oh, and watched "North Woods Law" on the tv.

Modelled troubleshooting structures for a client, most of the day. It's pretty interesting stuff but I am hampered by a standard that doesn't allow me to do it properly.

Also fed the family.
