Went out to breakfast then to the flea market to shop.  After that I began the process of removing and rearranging  shelving in the van

Continued clearing and organizing, watched TV, read some.

Back to clearing and organizing.

Went for an interview about a scholarship at a bank in the city. It felt a little bit awkward when I was being shown around as they were asking questions about my studies. I felt my answers weren't what they wanted. I found out all the other applicants were either doing or have done computer science at uni. And here I am, going to TAFE. I'd be very surprised if I get the scholarship but if I do, I think I'd really enjoy it. It just looked like a neat place to work.

Good luck getting it my dear Renster :)

If anybody deserves it, you do, you are a bright young lady with a great deal of potential, inasmuch as I am capable of determining such from the vantage point I have.

But inasmuch as I know you, you damn well deserve it, you fucking GO Ren.

I'd cross my fingers, if I believed there was anybody up there to see it. As it is, the thought will have to do, since I don't have god on speed dial.
*atheist version of a prayer for you* ^:^

*and a big squeeze for good luck* If those buggers know a good deal when they see one, then you'll get it.

I have to admit, though, if it were a choice between mining, and working in a bank, I'd take going down a pit any day of the week.

Although I confess, I'd be packing a little test kit of my own, and anything that looked like platinum, palladium, rhenium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium or osmium or their ores, I'd be clocking off with my pants and socks stuffed with ore and doing some refining of my own, putting it down to...extra-curricular training....

I've got confidence in you. If you don't get the bank job, are you gonna go for the mining job still?

How did you find out about the other applicants? You mentioned before, having to submit your diagnosis with your resume; does that imply a disability is a hiring advantage?

I recently changed insurance agents.  Visited the new one today to go over my coverages.  Potential savings of $50 plus dollars a month after a few things are verified.

*Purrs at the Renster*

I've got confidence in you. If you don't get the bank job, are you gonna go for the mining job still?
I had the mining company interview last week (I think. I get days and dates mixed up). I was emailed today by them saying my background in IT is not what they're after. If I'd finished the Programming course, I would have gotten it, most likely. Bummer.

All the applicants were interviewed together. I got the chance to talk to some of them before we went in for the group interview.

Part of the deal hiring autistics is because it makes the company look good hiring a demographic that typically has very low employment numbers. There's also the idea that autistics are great when it comes to having anything to do with computers. That's me being cynical because I'm pretty much the bottom of the heap when it comes to anything computery. As with uni I end up studying twice as much to produce the same output as everyone else.

I don't know if that answered your question.
