Got up and had coffee, and that's about it.

Nothing wrong with that!  It's the perfect way to begin a day! :coffee:

I drank another three cups while working.

Does all that caffeine make you jittery?  :spaz:

No, actually. I need more than that.

I've almost finished the reduced-caffeine coffee that I bought by accident.
Soon I'll be back to the real stuff!  Back to the full strength I need in the morning! :coffee:

Much  more of a tea kinda guy. None of that PG tips or other such mass market swill either.

Got a very nice white tea, thats delicately flavoured and scented.

Goes down the hatch a lovely treat too, and even more so with a handful of flowering lemon balm. Might check later and see if I have any of the delicious black tea/oolong mixture thats heavily spiked with rose petal and rose flavouring essence. Its unusually sweet for a tea.

No milk ! of course, EW! nasty!

But served black and like my grandmother used to serve her (albeit closer to bog standard) tea for us when she was alive and I a kid, with a teaspoon or two of honey.

Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

I had a decent laugh.

My wife sent me this:
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Slept most of the day.

Transferred a somewhat volatile, efflorescent project of mine into a sealed vial until I decide to go and finish work on it.

Also, can't remember for certain if it was today or a day  or two ago, but a much wanted reagent came to my anticipatory paws.

Made an ass of myself in a small way by asking a bunch of people for help with a problem that turned out to be "as designed", I just didn't know how to do the thing properly.

Just 2 small things that meant a lot to me.  Returned overdue books to the library and cooked dinner.

Well there really hasn't been enough time to have done much. I've had time to slug back much of a big carton of banana milk (I wanted chocolate or choc fudge but CBF digging in the back of the fridge, getting out all the corned beef, bottles of milk, cheese slices, bottles of solvents, squirty canned cream, vials of ergot fungi for culture, homemade cottage pie, grapefruit juice cartons and other milkshakes.)

I just thought sod that, I'll have the first milkshake I can find, no matter what it might be. Or if it proved too far then I'd have used powdered stuff from the kitchen shelves and plain milk, with a squirt of cream in a can on top.

Munched a couple of apple pies, and am about to have some grapefruit juice. Had time to have a rollup and take one of my meds (the antiseizure one)

Oh, and just had some morphine, as is of course necessary once I wake up if I've slept all night, most of the day etc.
Just waiting for the morph to kick in fully, which should only take a minute or two, a few at most, then I'm going into the kitchen for a PROPER morning rollup. Already had a quick smoke, but for various reasons, most opiates and opioids make it feel lovely to smoke. Normally its so-so, nothing special (assuming its tobacco being smoked of course), but being on morphine or many others (although not oxycodone, presumably due to its being largely a kappa-opioid receptor agonist rather than a Mu-opioid receptor agonist like morphine, KOR agonists suppress dopamine release, and I find having a cigarette/cigar/pipe on oxy(codone, never yet tried oxymorphone) to be nearly completely lacking in that respect.  Actually it sucks in general IMO) the other, solely or primarily MOR or mixed MOR/DOR (delta opioid receptor) agonists do, but KOR agonists don't. Morphine, etc. Make me want to smoke like a coal fired power station chimney.

Which I'm about to do, and satisfy myself immensely:P
