Went into town since the thermal compound I ordered to do the repair on my laptop is like a week overdue.

Encountered countless clueless young guys working in the computer sections of three stores...one took me to the glue section in office supplies while he pretended to know exactly what it was I wanted :zoinks:, and one tech that finally did know what I wanted told me he could order (about 2 weeks) it but couldn't sell me any...but he could, of course give me an estimate on performing the repair.  :finger:

Came home to find the mail had come and the thermal compound was sitting in the mailbox.

Cut grass, cooked, fixed the laptop.

Yesterday.  Took the family boating.  Ran out of gas.  Rowed into shore, hiked to gas station, bought gas can and fuel, hiked back, still wouldn't start, had Sheriff tow boat to dock, had friend drive me to the trailer, manually dragged boat back onto trailer, went home.

Exhausting, but had a good time up to that point.  Brought the boat home, topped off both fuel tanks, started back up with no problems.

It is gorgeous, and the marina is a 30-minute drive from my house with that campsite another 30-minute boat ride.  I'm going to spend a lot of time up there this summer I hope.  I'm on the waiting list for a slip so I can skip the 90 minutes of waiting in line, launching, waiting in line, loading, and driving really slow up the mountain with that boat behind my really old truck.

Very cool pictures.  I love the western scenery!    :plus:

It looks beautiful, I have never been out boating in a place like that

Its a reservoir.  Really interesting scenery created when you dam a river in the middle of what is almost desert.

It looks great. So relaxing, somehow.

I wonder how much water is lost through evaporation.

Out there, a lot.  Dry air, high heat in the daytime, Sun beating down on the surface of the water.

I dunno.  Not very humid, but the water temp gets into the mid-70s during the hottest part of the year.  54 right now.

It's 13 miles long and the depth changes about 150 feet over the season from releases.

Did my monthly run to buy items for the local food pantry.  The church that Carla goes to puts a "Needs" list once a month in the church bulletin.  Each month is something different, this month it was paper products and food wraps and food storage bags, trash bags, etc.  Since she works at walmart, I can use my discount card to better effect.

Today I looked at an attic that had damage from ice damming this past winter
Returned a bunch of phone calls

Short nap
Picked up my daughter from school

That must be a bitch for the Marinas

Only open from mid-April until mid-September.  After that they are high and dry.
