Read my newspaper, had a slice of bread with some cheese on it, drank two coffees and did a laundry. Most of it is in the dryer now.. excluded my jeans and two shirts. Unloaded my dishwasher also.

Going to take a shower now and after that going to pay a visit to my fishmongers.. and decide there what fish I'm going to eat for supper. Probably buy myself a fresh herring and some steamed mackerel too. The latter is one of my favourite fish to eat (on toast.. with some rocket lettuce in between, e.g.)

Fixed some issues with the insulation on a new house that caused it to have frozen pipes last winter

Picked out about $40 of groceries on sale for $14.  A precooked side for Thanksgiving (stuffed mirlitons), gala apples, ham seasoning, cold cuts, turnip greens, chopped salad, cheese, etc.

Woke kid, tried waking other kid, showered, managed to wake the one that wasn't responding before and got her in the shower. Fed, watered and medicated all who needed that. Got one kid on her way. Will bring other to bus stop in half an hour.

Went to a martial arts workshop, made tacos, watched some Futurama, read things on the internet.

For the first time ever (not first for me obviously - I have been doing this for over forty years) my son and I sat at my loading bench and loaded two hundred rounds of 38 special ammo.

It seems as if my son is ready to graduate from just little 22 rounds and take on a more formidable weapon.

Next time we go out to shoot, we will fire off these light loaded 38s and I intend to also take along one of my 45 autos (along with some light loaded rounds) and see if he is ready to try something more of a handful, with a bit more bite.

He has been handling my 45s for quite a while, now, and field stripping them, cleaning them, etc. He really likes the feel of a US Government Model Colt 45. (the boy has huge hands) I think it may be time to treat him. Depends on how he does with the revolver. If he can do ok after me flipping a completely different type of handgun in on him, then he will get to shoot a real 45 auto for the first time this week end.

Handloading ammo is  :viking:

We just finished a marathon run at the loading bench, just as the weather becomes too cold to be out in the garage, where my loading bench is, to actually be comfortable.

... but we have just recently loaded four hundred .45 auto and fourteen hundred rounds of .223 to have on hand. That and a few thousand .22LR and we will make it through winter, practicing as often as my son has the guts.

This whole idea that ammunition is becoming unavailable is bullshit. One just needs to adapt and find ways around the "Big ammo Scare."  Having had many years to collect a great deal of the more difficult to obtain pieces/parts helps.

Kind of interested to know what a a "Martial Arts Workshop" might be.

Offer details?

Oh, and tacos sound really good to me right now! Any more details?
