Pre-op surgery meeting for the PR's surgery on Friday.  Took her to bowling also.

Hope all will go well, come Friday.

Thanks.  I've been able to answer almost all of her questions and calm her fears (no sweetheart, Dr. Williams won't operate on your foot.  He's an arm surgeon and does only arm surgery.  They'll ask you several times where your being operated on.  etc.)  My only "worry" is that we'll have to be there early.  She has to shower before the surgery, wear clean clothes and we have to get there.  I am not a morning person.  3 or 4 in the afternoon seems like an ideal time to me, but the doctor will probably disgree.

Oh, yeah, I'm planning on ice cream on the way home.  Surgery always goes better with ice cream.  I may even buy her some.  JK

I've only been up for forty minutes so I haven't had the chance to actually do much yet.

Got up, with kid. Had nice breakfast, read newspaper. Got kid out of door. Admired colours of the sky. Spent some time here.

Time to start the more active things of the day.

Two days ago I saw that figs were on sale in a supermarket I don't often visit (um, never mind) and decided to buy me four big ones but back home I thought what to do with them. I could.. make.. myself.. a pie.. again.. but then.. four figs aren't enough to make a (pie) filling with. So yesterday I bought myself four extra.. and some fresh free range eggs and a package of proper unsalted butter.

Um, can you guess what I did this morning, now? Yep yot, it's true.. I made a fig pie. Quite a big one. It's cooling down in the kitchen at the moment but this evening, shag me twice, Iz going to treat myself a nice wedge of the pie with some whipped cream on top of it.

Will take a picture of said wedge (or the pie) and post it here laterz.

Going to hit the shower now (at 3 o'clock in the afternoon).   ("

Et voilà.. pie with figs and crushed pistachio nuts (cinnamon, etc.) in it.

:'(  Will be my last one though since I have to cut down on my sugar intake.

Could stevia replace sugar in a pie (or sutin'), I'm wondering now. And will it, concerning RA buggeries, not have the lousy aftermath (i.e. aching joints) that sugar seem to bring?

Dunno..

Shopped at the thrift and grocery stores.  Brought laundry to a friend's house for her to wash for the PR's surgery tomorrow.  Took the PR for a haircut and style.  Still need to wash some clothes here, put my pack together for tomorrow, quick run to grocery, change the PR's sheets, bathe the PR, etc.

We are supposed to be there for 7 a.m. for her wrist fusion surgery.
