That doesn't matter much IMO. One of my nieces is not related by blood or marriage, her first cousin is my oldest niece. I took care of both when they were little and we are still close.

yes it doesnt matter to me either, she is closer to me than my siblings. she is 11, and i'm just trying to teach her something.

her father was my first cousin. so that makes her my second cousin. but because of the age difference she always called me 'aunt'.

now she is asking me if my brother is 'uncle scott' or her just her cousin too. and why is scott half native american and im not.

Yes that does get interesting.  Shawna's brother never called me uncle because I saw so much less of him. You're smart eris, I'm sure you will work it out.

The PR calls all of the staff at the local diner Aunt or Uncle.  She has Aunt Gwen, Aunt Norma, Aunt Tiffany (and her husband Uncle Damian), Aunt Brenda and Uncle Ronnie.  The newcomers to the diner are confused by the familial tie.  They had a black man (now deceased) who cooked and she asked him what his name was.  I did a real quick prayer that his name wasn't Thomas.  It was Matt.  That made a lot of strange looks from the newbies there when she'd say, "Hi, Uncle Matt."

Just used up the last of my ink from the refill kit refilling the black ink cartridge for my printer.

I need to buy a new printer cartridge and/or more ink soon.
