I've made up with one of the girls that bullied me.  Otherwise there's really just plain nothing to miss.  It's not like I stayed in the same school system long enough to develop close ties to anyone, ever.  The school I technically graduated from, I spent maybe a couple of weeks attending, there at the end.  The high school I spent the most time at, I was a year ahead of everyone I was in classes with in terms of credits, so the ten-year reunion there would actually be two years away.

Why, you miss people from your alma matter?

There are some people I'd like to meet again (one in particular), but I don't miss the assholes.

I thought it was only banned in official use? ie the govt stop referring to people as mademmoisel (fuck lol) or madame?

In which case I think it's perfectly acceptable.  But then I think the govt shouldn't be referring to you as anything other than your name, so maybe I'm different

I really doubt they;re actually banning other people saying it

You're right there, Adam.. Fr. government will stop referring women as mademoiselle. Think it makes sense too.

Of course folks in general can use the word still but that was spot on what I was thinking of when I posted that, maybe not too clear, post of mine.

We kinda had the same thing in Holland before (mevrouw/married and (me-)juffrouw/unmarried) but that died out after the 60/70s(?) here. First officially but gradually 'we' stopped using it pretty much so too. Well, some might still use it occasionally but.... officially it's 'mevrouw' in general here. Or some title thing like doctor, etc..

Wondered if that's going to happen in France also.
