This is going to be interesting.  A caution from the sleeping pill prescribed for PA:

SOME PATIENTS TAKING THIS MEDICINE have performed certain activities (eg, sleep-driving, making and eating food, making phone calls, having sex) while they were not fully awake.

Well, Ambien didn't work very well.  PA only slept 3 hours before waking up.  And no nocturnal sex.  Damn.

I know about the dangers.  We asked the doctor at the visit when we could resume sex and he said (with a look on his face that said, You're joking right?) after the cast is off at the earliest.

I wonder what the global expenditure on 2012 survival preparations will be by the time the date finally arrives, and how the money spent on building bunkers and buying supplies will compare to the money spent making and consuming books, films and other mass media about it.
