His feelings as communicated to me are "I'm glad you're my friend and I love you" plus about 10 million apologies every day for what happened last year.
But anyways, I'm not pining for romance or panicking that he'll disappear, so it's all good.
The only time he mentioned romance was to say "I wish I'd been with you back then", and he specified that he was speaking of the past.

He has said to me that he wishes things had gone differently between you two.
I think at the moment he's regretting being with her rather than anyone else.
I don't really want a relationship with him at the moment despite my feelings: I'm still cautious regarding what happened last year, he's still hurting, and anything romantic from him now would, despite the pre-existing friendship, most likely be a rebound thing.

It wasn't any conscious effort on his part to get me feeling this way, and he's done nothing that I could construe as stringing me along.
It's just... all the old familiarity coming back, I guess.

Yeah, and the friendship is the basis for my feelings.

Well, I bit the bullet and told him; made sure to let him know that I like the way things are now and don't want them to change for a long time.

My united fleece + the warmer coat a bought today is a lot better in this weather

My nana has been nagging me for weeks to get a "winter coat"

Even when my mate came round the other week, she was nagging me about it then too. very embarrassing lol
