The only times I have to myself is when I'm hiding from people, and watching movies in my collection or on Netflix. Though somehow Mom thinks I need to find other stuff to stay busy.

If it cures my depression and helps me have my mind not wander to those troublemakers... I should be okay.

Hey, whatever it takes.  Self care is important!

I do not know how this can ever happen, but we have entered a peanut butter vacuum.

Last time I looked, we had plenty, but now it is all gone and NO ONE put it on the shopping list.
We finished our shopping this morning, I THOUGHT!!!

We are rapidly approaching an emergency situation!

I got out my digital SLR, my old 600mm lens, tripod and some bags of shot for weight to steady the tripod.
This used to be my nature photography rig. I never carried shot when I was hiking, but found some rocks usually to steady things.

I am a little out of practice though and I seem to have lost a degree of patience, but I've gotten several really nice close ups of my birds. They are SO healthy right now!
Doves, starlings, cardinals, hummingbirds, barn swallows, chipmunks, squirrels and even some beautiful crows that frequent my free food deli. I never had crows until I put out some squirrel corn, though.

I have not played camera games like this in quite a while.

^ I love crows, although strictly speaking ours are ravens. But everyone calls them crows. They're very smart birds and they remember you if you leave them food and/or water.

I handled dementia patients before... but seeing one who is legally blind, and going through confusion in the same sighting is a bit sad for me... the Afrikaaner lady I visited down in Botswana was going through the same phase.

Yoshi seems to be doing okay without his tail, it's just his meowing is turning into a way to communicate with me and somehow just now I'm understanding him.

^ The heater was off when I arrived this morning and nobody mentioned it, so  I think.
Not so much about the warmth but wasting the tightwad bosses' electricity.
