I think I fucking nailed that interview. He kept saying I would be a good fit for the team and that I had good answers. Lasted longer than normal too.  :headbang2:

Apparently, our side of Illinois is known as Region 8, and Region 8 as far as we know it has a diagnostic increase of 10.9% of Covid-19 cases within our turf.

The best course of action from J.B. Pritzker's people you ask? A simple mandatory shutdown of churches with congregations going from 25 to 10 people and Restaurants being temporarily shut down until further notice.

I know some people are going to get huffy about this, but let's be honest here... I would rather make it a priority to get through this without the leading cause of the spike: ignorance and entitlement attitudes like the ones done by those fellows who called themselves Wolverine Watchmen in Michigan all because they thought the stay at home order from the Madam Governor was a violation of their constitutional rights.

So I had to take my dog to the hospital 2 days ago due to some concerning symptoms. I called them ahead of time and said hey this is what we're dealing with. She's extremely lethargic, doesn't want to eat, suddenly won't jump up on furniture, won't play fetch which she LOVES, doesn't want to go up/down stairs and is super clingy and moody and I don't know why. So they say bring her in at 4pm. They do bloodwork (excellent), a urinalysis (clear) and I get a bill for $380 of testing to find out my dog THINKS she's pregnant. She's having a phantom pregnancy. Her nipples are swollen, she has morning sickness, they know intuitively they can't do strenuous things like jumping, she's retaining water etc etc. It's the most bizarre thing to go through and at the end of this she stands a chance of going through depression when there's no puppies when her body tells her she's not pregnant anymore.

I was gobsmacked. I had read about it and knew it existed but I had never known anyone directly who had experience with it, not even friends of friends and whatnot and I've been in rescue work since 1991. It's the most bizarre and beautiful thing to witness. She's taking this SO seriously and doing everything that her body intuitively tells her to do or not do. It's like she's suddenly matured overnight. Even Monkeygirl noticed the difference. But at the same time it's sad because the end result isn't what she's expecting.

Although I had to laugh because the other night, my husband was bugging her and normally she finds it hilarious and she gets goofy and whatnot but you could clearly tell she was NOT having it and finally she snapped at him. Literally. It was such a clear message of go fuck yourself, you're annoying me that I couldn't help but laugh. Then she left to follow me to another room and she was like "GAH! MEN!"  :laugh:
