Vangelis is awesome. He's still alive as far as I know. According to Wiki, he's still working and released an album recently of pieces played on a grand piano.

He is indeed alive and well, and his last released album contains piano versions of some of his past compositions plus a couple of new ones. Well worth listening to.

Stopped on the side of the road to pick up, yet another, sledge hammer. That makes four free sledge hammers, in about ten years. This one is smallish, in the forging a "4LB" is stamped in.
