Hoping my dog's surgery goes well. It's such a minor thing (she fractured a tooth) but given her age and breed, there's always a risk when you put them under.

It has been a rollercoaster to say the least. Her second blood panel wasn't good and they thought she was dealing with tumours and she might have to be put down today, but although her spleen was enlarged, no mass. So thankfully they were able to go through with the surgery and I get to pick her up in 2 hours. So relieved.

Working at walmart makes me believe that people in general are fucking stupid.  Especially in the times we live now.  For example, last weekend I was assigned to work in HBA....health and beauty area.  I was working in the body washes/hand soap and sanitizer aisle.  Several people came thru and were opening many bottles of body wash and sniffing them close to or touching their noses....then closing them and putting the bottles back on the shelves!   This went on for 10-20 minutes........ :zombiefuck:
As a former nurse of 20 years and with the paranoid climate of our present era.......WTF.   I seriously wanted to go up to these people and tell them to stop and GTF out.   I would have been fired in a heart beat, but, if it happens again when I am there...I may not restrain myself any longer.  This is stupid, seriously stupid.....see what you want, buy it and leave.  It makes me glad that we buy bar soaps and leave the store.   >:(

Wondering how much longer the city will go before they move from quarantining residents to putting the city in a full lockdown except for people having to leave because they're essential service workers or need groceries or pharmacy. Right now they're depending on people following the rules (only leave home once a week for necessities) but clearly not enough people are doing it.

Something besides Covid news on the radio. A huge traffic accident on the expressway.

Since we are all practicing social distancing these days, keeping so many feet away from others, this seems like it could help. Why can't we do so with our cars as well.
