I would like Charlotte to move here but we definitely don't have more rain. The wettest January on record where I live had only 75mm of rain and that was in 2006. It's common for it to not rain in January at all.

Every summer on the news they show our dams (where we get our water from) getting lower and lower. Part of that is due to population growth and part is due to less rain.

The tropics are probably the only options. The only problem is most of the coastal QLD towns north of the Capricornia coast are absolute shit holes. And cyclones (though I can't complain as they contribute to rainfall)

A choice between living in Sydney with a dead lawn and dying garden, and moving to the tropical north, is a pretty easy one.

I knew an English couple who moved from Sydney to Darwin just for the fishing. I can appreciate that. He travelled around setting up sports broadcasts so they could live anywhere they liked as long as it was near an airport.

I'm happy with the Midwestern United States because it's what I know... It is what I grew up in, yet sometimes in life changes may happen... and I need to be prepared.

I've been in the Chicago Area since I was at least 5 years old, it's what I know... it's what I am familiar with besides Kansas City, and being overseas.

I've lived in both the US and Canada. Prefer where I live now (Canada) and finally living exactly where I want to be. Little house, big property, out in the country. Bliss.

It hasn't been as icy this winter (because the weather is a bit "meh" in what it wants over here), also I'm not getting the up and down pain in my ankle that I broke awhile back... (it only happens rarely)
