As I recall, a man is dying of cancer. He rides a horse deep into the bush, lets the horse go so that he is effectively stranded, and plans to simply live off the land until he dies.

A boy is stranded in the bush when his parents are killed in an accident and Holden eventually makes the right decision, to try to get the boy back to civilization. Along the way he teaches the boy how to survive and they form a close bond. Holden dies along the way, but by that stage the boy is well able to look after himself and find his own way out.

Wikipedia got the plot pretty well.

Update on Kayleigh's finger - it's not so sore now and she can play her Switch. She has an appointment with a plastic surgeon near the city at 8:30am next Thursday. She wants me to drive her. I don't have enough petrol. She's going to be be peeved when she finds out we're catching the train and bus.

Least she could do, with you driving her around, is buying you petrol.

I don't have a car. Now and then I do ask a friend for a car favour. Paying them for the costs they make is a no brainer for me. That they spend their time on me is awesome. It's also a favour I can return. But there is no need for them to pay the costs of my transport too. If they don't tell me what it did cost, I'll figure it out myself.

If aspirin doesn't make a damn difference with so much as being a bit sore from sleeping in a funny position, I doubt it's going to help greatly if the case has progressed from needing a doctor, to needing a necromancer :tard:
