My neighbours go all out in the freaky department every year. Last year they did a haunted house in their garage which was a huge hit with the older trick or treaters

I'm thinking about how violent news always turns on the "conspiracy mode" in my brain.

Russia bombing Syria
US bombing a hospital in Afghanistan
Deadly stampede in Saudi Arabia
Oregon mass shooting

Plus its been cloudy, raining, and very cold the past few days with strange happenings...such as a fighter jet flying close to the ground sounding like bombs going off.

I'm far enough inland that we should be ok.   Though I shudder for the seacoast of Maine and NH if that island in the Canary's lets loose.

I'm about 2km from the sea but I'm on a river flat that runs all the way to the ocean :tinfoil:. I'm not 100% sure about the likelyhood of one happening though (Aust south pacific coast)

I'll probably drown, if a tsunami would happen. But chances of getting hit by a truck are bigger, so I focus on being careful in traffic.
