When something bad happens, and by bad I don't mean stubbing your toe or dropping your oreo in milk I mean stuff far worse than that you don't "get over it and move on" with the rest of your pretty short lifespan, you simply learn how to live differently.

People are massive copy-cats. Sometimes that is helpful, sometimes not.

There is a massive pile of plastic waste down by the road today. Only near my block of houses. My first reaction: "damn, I forgot". Second reaction: "No way, it is Thursday, they never collect plastic on Thursdays". So I am one of the few not having my plastic out today, in this block.

The other week, after getting notice the places to place the rolling bins had changed, it was my block still using the old place. Because if one does it, all the others will follow. I was one of the few with an empty bin at the end of the day.

Funny thing, this whole pile of plastic waste is in the wrong place. Stupid people. It may be there for weeks now.  :facepalm2:
