It's moulting-time again. Um, this otter is losing hairs again (evidently more so than normally/e.g. seen in shower). Just hope all the ones I lose with be replaced with new ones.

There's a crane fly flying around clumsily in my bedroom.. for the last hour or so. Um, cannot be bothered to catch it and put it outside at the moment.

Well, random observation is.. that insects, due to the evening/night coldness, are trying to get inside the house more and more again (t'is early autumn).

Common flies, fruit flies, mosquitoes, moths aren't welcome here though.

Max's hair seems to be growing back nicely from when it was cut

My kitchen floor is always cleaner when I'm dogsitting. They're like little vacuum cleaners  :green:

Casseroles are life-savers.  Must start making them.

I really miss the record stores. I was walking through a mall today, remembering the places where there used to be shops selling LPs and later CDs, and really missing them. Fucking iTunes just won't replace exploring those, discovering new music. I know I can get hold of just about any music I want, just by browsing the net for a few minutes, but it's not the same.

Dogs are only mucky when coming in from the rain.  :green:

Casseroles are the best!  Almost anything left over can go in a casserole!  :green:

We've never been a big casserole family.  Mom cooked from scratch most nights.  I imagine cooking once a week will let me cook and freeze some casseroles, meat loaf, etc.  It's just something I've never done.  Like cooking 2 meals of fish and putting one away for leftovers (after shouting at PA not to take another piece of fish, it was for leftovers.)

My mother used to make great American chop suey and freeze half.

I remember Mom making that too.  I'm not sure I'd want the recipe though.  Mom made wonderful liver, onion and grits and a vegetable soup that was yummy.
