Every guy called Garry that I know of is dodgy.
I once worked with a guy named Gary many years ago and he was the most intense person I've ever met. His nickname was Mr. Full-On.

I'm nervous, uncomfortable, and discouraged... that's all that happens in this job isn't it? *sighs*

Every job has crap, but sometimes it's good enough to just have some different crap.

Wondering if the annoyances I observe in some new hires are similar to what I probably carry around.

I've wondered that about myself when new hires join my team at walmart.  I am trying to stay open minded...it's hard.

It's really hard. There's this one guy who seems to constantly trigger me, but at the same time I suspect I'm in Grumpy Old Man mode and it's something unrelated to him personally.

Well, I admit that I am a grumpy old man.  But, I try to remain as detached as possible to keep from being triggered myself,  I am getting better at that....detachment from people who love to trigger a response from me.

I have become convinced the walmart upper managers and even higher don't need colonoscopies.....their heads are so far up their asses they can do their own exams.  Aka, self care!

QFT!  I worked night shift long ago at a state uni,  I was working at the agricultural school on campus and that was near their horse corral.  After I had my lunch break, I walked outside to get some fresh air on a balmy spring morning,  I walked out to the horse corral as they were out there playing and running around.  Then they saw me and they all came up to the fence as if to say "hello".  I felt welcomed and at peace as they sniffed me and looked at me with those big eyes.   It felt magical!  Just me and the horse herd.   8)

My sat nav that I always bring with me on trips - I've been renting a car this week - has decided to reboot whenever it bloody well feels like it.

Wisdom has been chasing me, but, I've always been faster.  Now that age has slowed me down, wisdom has caught up to me!  :P
