The rain was all over the place when I was out, to the point that it made having an umbrella pointless. Still got soaked.  >:(

I live in an environmentally protected area and you have to get permission from a local agency to build ANYTHING that is beyond the footprint of a pre-existing structure. Behind me are countless acres of corn fields. Apparently someone bought the farm and put in an application with the environmental agency to tear down the farmhouse which dates back ages, and the corn fields to build a massive house (13,100 + sq ft) and it was approved. They started clearing the fields today and it makes me sad.

Yet if you wanted a small shed they would give you a hard time.  Also WTF do you do with a  13,100 + sq ft house?  I have worked on ones that big even ones double that size and I just don't understand it, fuck I'd be hard pressed to figure out what to do with a 3000 square foot house. Of course if it was a workshop that would be a different story  :zoinks:

I like large houses. More room for a proper cinema.

You need a special building on your property for that  :zoinks:

I worked on a 30,000+ square foot house in Greenwich that had a replica of a 1900 era theater in the basement probably 4000 square feet with 16 foot high ceilings and a sloped floor

My computer and space heater are frenemies and don't like sharing a powerboard.

Exactly. We're not allowed to build a 12x12 workshop for HB but they can build that?!?!
