I haven't read NG regularly in a while and it sucks to hear the quality dropped. I used to love it as a kid.

A lot of publications have changed over the years, but NG, from my perspective has gone down in substance.  And I have had this subscription for 50 years or so.

It's what I have for breakfast every single day. It's rare that a deviate from it. Although I was at someone's house once and for breakfast they asked if I wanted a bagel and I said sure, asked if I could toast it and she said no problem, she would. Then they just let them sit there and get cold and internally I'm wondering what the point of the toasting was and how she had clearly just ruined a perfectly good bagel. :laugh:

I get a craving for egg bagels once in awhile.  I like them toasted with butter, but, if Carla makes a dish that uses cream cheese.  I'll use up the rest of the cream cheese on the bagels.

Egg salad............yuck!   I have a serious issue with eggs........the only way I can take them is in omelets or french toast batter.  Otherwise major gag reflex....
