This guy's full name is not the same as mine but they send stuff to my email address for some reason. It's very odd.
Probably because he provided the wrong email address.

Doesn't compute. I suspect his provider got it wrong, probably based on his name.

Although yeah, maybe. Maybe the guy is an idiot.

Can't recall purchasing anything where my email has been assumed by the provider. It's more logical to assume they have the wrong address because that's the email address they were given.

Is the difference that big, or does it seem a possible typo?

It's my name, surname.lastname@gmail.com.

Google doesn't differentiate between surname.lastname@gmail.com and surnamelastname@gmail.com, so it can't be that. And remember that the guy's name is the same as mine so I'm not sure how he'd get it so wrong.

No, never.

I managed to contact their customer support (their website was a fucking disaster) so we'll see what happens. My namesake will wonder about his cloud storage at some point, too, especially since I followed the link, logged in and changed the password.

Maybe not understanding 'so wrong' if the only difference is the period in the username, or why a system wouldn't differentiate between those two emails when one has a period in the username and the other doesn't; the period makes them different usernames. If his email is the one with the period and yours is the one without the period, then sounds like a typo forgetting the period in the username.

But that's the thing: he could never have created a Google account without the full stop. He could never have accessed it. Google would have said the email was already in use.

Obviously he could use it when registering for the cloud service, but what's the point if he can't access the account?

I've had my Google account ever since Gmail was still in beta. He hasn't.

There were flyers at the bus stop today, about a boy gone missing. He had a nice face. When I got home and checked my mail, I saw in a MSN newsflash that he had been found drowned.

  Damn.  :(

My sister had a vivid dream several years ago about a young boy drowning.  Days later,
it happened, in much the same way the dream depicted it.  My father also had at least one
(possibly) precognitive dream in his life.  I do wonder if we are all connected into one mind.  :apondering:

I've downsized my ambitions from  "greatness"  to  "better."  In doing so, I have observed that
"better"  is a moving target.  So I just scurry around playing whac-a-mole, making small
improvements that will just have to be made again in another day, week, month.
Life is all about putting out small fires.  :yarly:

Actually yesterday.

Ran into an old (20+ yrs) boyfriend and his SO at the auction yesterday.

He kept leaving her in the crowd and getting in my line of sight, motioning to me to come talk to him.

I pretended not to see him. :dunno:

Realized that some jackasses...will just turn into older jackasses.
