This was last week - I saw a Rolls Royce parked outside Centrelink. A rich car parked at a place for the poorest people.

Back in the 80s when I was in collage and living in a not so nice area near the school there was a family of Gypsys next door who had a Rolls in their garage.  Both the house and the garage were in rather poor shape but the car looked great  although I never saw it leave the garage,  some people have strange priorities

Weird isn't it.

Know some that will buy the cheapest ham they can possibly get for the holidays, cheapest cuts of meat, never fix anything with the house unless they have water pouring in, live with 40yr old carpet, and complain their back hurts from sleeping on a 35yr old mattress.

But they will get new cars every 2 years that hardly ever leave the driveway.

I know people like that, too. It is weird.

On a gluten free diet, you forget that food is tasteless because you learn compensations and either accept them or make workarounds. There is no workaround for GF bread - you just put up with it being tasteless because finally they are getting the texture right.

But today we had sandwiches made with bread from a company in VT called Against the Grain. We found some in a store in Plattsburgh, NY. I had their pizza while living in FL and it was awesome so I put my trust in and we paid $15 for 4 baugettes. The texture was a bit off, but the bread smelled and tasted of bread. And of course because it's Vermont, no artificial ingredients.

Not sure I will be able to put up with tasteless again.

Cut through the skin on my knuckle all the way to the bone. I discovered that I use my left hand more when typing so can get away with being a three finger typist for a while.

Another observation - apparently I don't use my right pinky that much. Probably the source of many typos.

I was working on the roof of a house today that was kinda close to the road when a fire truck went by it was deafening, much worse than hearing it on street level

Rude customers don't deserve polite cashiers.

(And then she complained to management about how incompetent the cashier was and called her a "dumb bitch.)  I went up to management after her and said that the cashier was trying hard to please her and that the customer was rude and called her a dumb bitch.  Management thanked me for telling the other side of the story.

It's too bad you can't make people like that work for a month as a cashier, or in food service, or pumping gas, or whatever the job is that they make life hell for the person doing it.

I think it would provide the best attitude adjustment ever.

An utterly grey morning, this. I hate this time of year.

If Hyke had made this post it would have read this way:

An udderly grey morning, this.  I hate this time of year.

Hyke is udderly at peace with the grey that age brings to the reflection in the mirror.

My head is killing me. Sorry, but that's not very random, is it?

It's very specific indeed.

There is only one solution.
Off with that head.  :M
