4:30 am and it's getting light outside.

I now realise that that is totally different from where you were in Florida.

When we were in Alberta Canada in July, we got a little view of the northern sky that never really went dark.

End June there will be still some light in the northern sky after 11 pm, then it gets as dark as can be with all the human lights everywhere.
Since I live in a flat rural area, barely any of the human lightsources gets filtered away by trees. I do miss natural darkness. At my mum's place it is darker twenty meter from a street lamp than it gets here anywhere, because of luscious trees.

Here it is just starting to get light at 6:30am. I won't let the cats out until 7am.

Why do toddlers and infants begin and do their loudest wailing at the check out lines?  And why am I always so blessed to be near them?    :GA:

I worked at the till this morning. All customers were pleasant. All toddlers in really good moods and well behaving. Some softly humming in their strollers, others happily saying hello.
It isn't always like that.

This happens to me on the train. Last Sunday a little kid was sitting quietly in her pram at the station. As soon as she entered the train, she started screaming. Right near where I was sitting. So her parents got her out of her pram, offered her something to eat, offered her something to drink, let her stand on the seat to look out of the window, generally fussed over her. She screamed the whole time.

Couple of blackbirds started making a nest in the hedge today.
They are fast builders. Branches and beaks full of hay came in the morning. Begin afternoon they were already in mud gathering and plastering stage.

It is the hedge my cat Luna likes to walk over. So, not the safest place.
Will cut the first half of it later today. (Luna does not like walking a cut hedge as much) And will place the bins at the other end of the hedge elsewhere.

Who knows, the blackbirds may be able to raise some young in that dangerous place they picked.
I'll refrain from cutting the back part of the hedge for a few more weeks.

People parking their shopping carts in the middle of an intersection while they walk down the aisle looking for something! ::)
