If you have heartburn or reflux issues, I reccomend gaviscon over traditional antacid tablets, the alginate in it coats the oesophagus and helps stop it burning if something on the menu decides it wants to fight back.

I get the stuff on my RX, used it  earlier today, after drinking a whole bottle of 'sourz', a schnapps-esque mid strength sweet flavoured spirit drink, that is, as the name predicts, sour as hell. Did the entire bottle in three big shots, and got heartburn as well as pissed, but a few swallows of gaviscon reduced that to just 'pissed' :P

In mine, I put it down to my GI system just taking a general and highly prejudiced dislike of the rest of me.

I'm rx'd gaviscon by the ton, along with ranitidine and a proton pump inhibitor, varies between pantoprazole and omeprazole, and lansoprazole has been used also, although I can't say I notice any difference between the different PPIs.

I don't think I'm at much danger from obesity. For two reasons. I've one of those metabolisms that seem to be ok with packing down as much of whatever as it takes to satisfy my appetite, and two, there never seems to be enough food here anyway.

I have found out that the ONLY way to remove the door lock mechanism on the rear side door an a land rover discovery is to take off the door top...one of the support bars for it totally blocks getting the lock out... wonderful design feature that!
