Daughter's boyfriend was here when I woke up.

Getting used to it is what worries me. :-\

You'll get used to his presence in your house and he'll get used to your ... hobbies.

The auditorium was sold out, yesterday. Lots of kids watching a new animated Swedish film about Bamse, a much-loved bear in Swedish children's books. I love that kind of audience. They are honest and when they watch something they don't look for hidden messages or  merit, they just enjoy the show.

Since it's the (pre-) film festival, there was a Q&A with the director and producer afterwards. The kids asked questions and the director and producer answered as best as they could.

My all time favourite question was "why did you do the film as a cartoon and not with live characters?"

Was that from a kid?

Either way, great question!

I had to google Bamse. I am not so UP on Swedish children's tales. Sorry.

BUT, great question for which there is NO answer.

Yup, the question was from a little kid.

Another great question: We screened a stop-motion doll animation short and afterwards, the filmmaker was up on the stage answering questions. He had brought one of the dolls with him. One kid asked "how come the doll is so small now when it was so big earlier?"

Reminds me of the PR's Hollywood dreams when she was younger.  She was going to start off small, on television.

It's like that here too!  It makes it easy to brush the snow off myself, it doesn't soak in!  :snowman:

Edward Herrmann is narrating the show I'm watching.  He has a very pleasant voice.

A few days ago I had a student from my intro to human services class rant at me for charging her with plagiarism. It's her third charge which means that she will be expelled if it is upheld. I've been so busy I didn't have time to reflect on the irony of the situation until today.

The first time she plagiarized word for word from the internet. She got explanatory materials from the provost and I told her what she needed to do if she used published sources.

The second and third times she plagiarized from the same online document.

Her source? The code of ethics for human services workers.

Not sure if this is DirtDawg's daughter, but I thought there was a commonality.
