China Syndrome
« on: January 26, 2011, 01:45:33 PM »
Has anyonse seen the new Chinese propaganda commercials on TV??

They kind of remind me of the American Nazi Party propaganda of the 1930's.

I think the Chinese are trying to prevent a war between us and them, once we realize just how bad they have raped the US economy.

Even I have seen them

Can't remember what I was watching - I think it was the news and they were talking about talks between the US and China, then showed one of the ads

Haven't seen anything like that here before, just ads aimed at tourism. Although I guess we're not as important as America lol

I had some really nice fried rice and chips from the chinese the other day though

Several. I've seen them on everything from CNN and Fox News, to History and Discovery Channels and Comedy Central.

I'm not sure if an online version exists. The commercials are pretty new.  :dunno:

It looks like they haven't figured out yet how to effectively target their propaganda at a western audience, but I'm sure western PR companies will be happy to take them on as clients and help them to further their goals with more subtle and insidious messages.

It seems to be more of an incentive to invest in China.

I don't get all the Chinkphilia as of late though. Everything from documentaries to dedicated channels, it's getting ridiculous.
