I grew up with ticking clocks and have a couple nice ones but the wife hates the noise so they are only correct twice a day

I sleep on a thick firm mattress that rests on a frame of wooden slats that lays on the floor. No bed frame (with head-, foot-board and side rails).  :orly: Um, this, without a bed frame and thus not p/m 50 cms above the ground, for almost 30 years now. (slept in other beds but this suits me)   (dunno)
