That sounds dismal, but it will help keep you alive and well.

Thanks.

On the right side of my colon, they found a tiny polyp which they sent away to pathology.  If they hadn't found anything, I wouldn't have had to come back for five years or more.

I didn't get a picture of it, and I don't even know what kind it was, the doctor just said that it was tiny and he removed it and sent it off to pathology and then the nurse said I would probably have to have another colonoscopy in a year because of it.

Here are some colon polyp pictures, though:

I had to drink it twice with nearly a gallon of water in all, at 10 AM and 8 PM, and fast except for drinking clear liquids all day long.

My brother went on and on about the drink and the water when I went up to help him out he had gone in for his roto rooter   the day before

I have a family history of colon cancer and had a colonoscopy 3 years ago.  They found a suspicious polyp, removed it and it came back okay.  But I was advised to come back in 3 years for a follow-up test.  That test came out negative for polyps.  I understand there's a pill you can take instead of the liquid, but I had to take the liquid instead.  I guess I'm fairly numb about medical tests because prepping for them and having them doesn't seem to bother me.

My alma mater was celebrating it's 25th anniversary with an open air festival including fireworks.  Of course you were supposed to stay a sensible distance from the fireworks.  I also love fireworks and climbed to the third floor balcony of the Liberal Arts Building, about 100 feet from where the fireworks would explode.  The waves of explosions were unbelievable and they do rattle your insides and the noise is wild.  I figure it's the closest I'll ever be to warfare, and that's fine with me.

What can I say, I was a 35 year old kid.

I too love the concussion from them where you feel it through out your body.

I once was about 400 yards from a chemical tank explosion that sent the top of the tank which was about ten feet in diameter about 50 yards past where I was standing.  That was loud and the concussion from that was immense

If he took what I took, Suprep, t really does tastes nasty.  I drank the first dose down pretty quickly, then I thought I was going to throw it up but I managed to keep it down, as well as all the water I had to drink within the required hour.  I was told to drink the evening dose and that water a bit more slowly.

Were you awake for your colonoscopies or did they put you to sleep?
