i hate disneyland

yesterday we checked our kids out of school and took them to disneyland for my youngests birthday.

we had two free adult tickets, yet two kids tickets cost $140. 
for what?  just to stand in lines so the effing rides can break down right before you get on them...
this happened 4 times yesterday.
but all is not lost.  in my typical bitching fashion i got us 4 passes that are good for two yesrs.

we also took them to the rainforest cafe for dinner.  and finally to the build-a-bear workshop.

man, my feet are killing me today.

I hate most places kids like to go anyway  :D But you do what you have to to make your kids happy, right?

Did the kids enjoy it?

yes the kids loved it.

they did change the pirates of the caribbean ride.  now they have capt. jack.  and i'll be damned if it looks just like him.

oh, and another downside to disneyland.
i cannot get that stupid small world song outta my head.

I went to disney world.  I really don't recall being capitivated by the "magic."  I think I was past the phase where I could really feel the place was magical.  And that, i think, is really the only reason to go to disney world as opposed to six flags or something.  And I had to WALK everywhere.  I swear to god, and I know every person who has lost control of their limbs will be pissed off by this, but I would HAPPILY give them my legs so i could have their wheelchair.  I don't care if it is a pain in the ass to go places, and if you can fall over and people mock you.  Any time I have an inconvenience at least I will be SITTING.  And occasionally falling over is worth having to stand(other people have more energy than me).  And just FUCK the mocking.  It would only tickle me to hear it because they are so obviously wrong not seeing how much better it is not to walk that hearing their cries would only remind me how foolish they are.  (I really hate moving)

Yeah, I was 17 when I went to Disney World, so the magic was gone. The walking wasn't as bad as the damn heat. It was too fucking hot when I went, and the only really cool ride was Space Mountain. I could ride that all day, just like Medusa or Superman at Great Adventure. :P

We took our daughter to Disneyland six years ago.  She loved Disneyland, but she bit Mickey Mouse while we tried to pry her loose from hugging him.  She still remembers Minnie Mouse's house and her kitchen with the pretend cake rising in the oven after six years.  I remember the pasta in her macaroni and cheese was shaped like Mickey Mouse's head.
