This is kind of true. Life gets pretty good if you just try to see the good in everything and not question it ie; keep your fucking mouth shut.

If God created us, then he created our intelligence and ability to question authority. But then he punished Adam and Eve (i.e., human beings) for eating apples from the Tree of Knowledge. If both facts are true, then God is a hypocrite. Or worse. (Ref. Twain quote)

The problem I've had with Christianity is that God's defenders try to make him seem somehow the victim of man's sin. If he really is all-knowing, then he knew, even before the beginning of time, that his human creations would disappoint him and thus "earn" damnation." So why did he go ahead and make us anyway, if not for the sadistic pleasure of torturing us in hell by the billions? :duh: :duh: :duh:

Pretty much got it there.   We created our own monster.   Our perception shapes the reality of how we see god.   

If god/gods allow all of this suffering in the world, then none of us can be truly innocent... if a god would not allow innocents to suffer that is.
