An ice pick.  Evidently they're not carried by many stores.  I was just about to try an ACE or similar old-time hardware store when I finally found one at a small grocery.  I shop there because they have fantastic deals on their ends of deli meat and cheese.

We have one, but it's been used quite a bit for less than hygienic purposes and I'd like one for food purposes.
