Lots of good stuff at tag and estate sales and a load of scrap metal cleaning out an area in my friends back yard

A very old fan 1920's of so along with an ancient medicine bottle that I think is even older
  is it an empty bottle?

Yes :(

I think it was one from before the laws banning over the counter opiates and cocaine, I have to look it up

That's too bad, you might have had quite a trip drinking the contents!   :baked:

DISCLAIMER: I am not a physician and I do not recommend drinking ancient meds!  :police:

A couple might. The others I'll look through and they'll go out at the yard sale for free or next to nothing.  The old Heloise pb...the Carnegie books always sell although not for much, but a couple have slight water damage.

Dale Carnegie offered courses though in the 50's or so, some of the pens, pamphlets from the courses, or the occasional signed books can do okay.

Found a copperhead under my mower this morning

quickly dispatched him to snake heaven, which wasnt a problem since it was cool this morning, he wasnt moving very fast.

Poor snake I saved a baby one once that was trapped in the basement of a house I was working on and released him a couple hundred yards away in the woods.  Everyone there wanted to kill it but there aren't that many of them around here and they do keep the rodents at bay

copperheads are quite a problem around here. the warm weather has them out in large numbers

since they can seriously hurt a person, I have no mercy on them.

black snakes, on the other hand, arent a problem. they will keep the rat population down

That is discouraging.  But at least you know that your house will be safer once the repairs are done.

It is well at least I am fixing it myself and all it is costing is the materials.  It was all due to a cracked pan under the refrigerator that catches the condensation,  I have an old Cool Whip container there for now till I get a new one :lol1:

A new cracked pan, refrigerator or Cool Whip container?  The mind boggles at the  possibilities.
