Found a length of copper pipe, and I know where some more, larger ones are. Can't go snag those until it gets dark and most of the vehicle traffic is off the roads nearby, so as not to be seen. This was just lying in the pavement though.

Every time I find copper scrap, big enough aluminium bits to be worth having, or lead, be it roof sheeting, car wheel weights, leaded glass windows, car batteries (a juicy find, as much of the weight is in the form of the sulfuric acid) etc. I take it and save it, until I have built up enough to go and trade in for scrap fees.

Copper especially, is worth quite good money at the moment, last time I took just a few kilos in to scrap, I ended up making over 25 quid. Can't remember the weight or exact profit, but it was enough to get a macdonalds, a bottle of codeine linctus and an 8th. I was quite pleased with my results that day, for just the effort needed to walk to the scrap yard, maybe half an hour to three quarters of an hours work in total before putting my feet up, stretching out with a bong and a beer, and relaxing for the rest of the day :D

Don't forget the brass.   Yeah, I do the same, pull the copper out of electric motors I stack up even when the snow starts flying...was all happy a few days back when I found a big wooden spool of wire out for trash curbside in the rain...until I got home and saw it was coax. Should have figured.

Today I found the sun...

A 1970's still in the box with the little red goggles Norelco Sun/Heat lamp.

And two more :Icequeen: :Icequeen:.

A switch box for the machine I use at work.  Odd last week I could not find it but today it was right in the open and I can't see how I missed it :apondering:

Looks like the bike will be useful once cleaned up. You could sell it for 100 bucks...or keep it :)
Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

It's there. It always was.

How much rope did it take?

It's cleaning up fairly better than I expected. 8)

A lawn mower with a sign that said free on it on the side of the road.  I pulled the cord just to  to see if it had compression and it started   but had lots of vibration, I looked at the blade and someone had put it on wrong, I fixed that them mowed the lawn with it

Not much. All I had to do was lock the exits. :zoinks:

Found a gram, well, a little bit more, actually; this weighed out to 1.23-1.24g, of some rather funny facial makeup, this kind being specifically intended for powdering the inner mucosal surface of one's nostrils ;)

Of all the weird places, stuffed under my TV.

No idea how long its been stashed away, forgotten about, sitting under my TV. I just BARELY spotted it out of the corner of my eye whilst doing a bit of a de-cluttering, wondered 'hey what the fuck is that white thing' and managed, just about, to fish it out with a pair of needle-nosed electrical pliers.

Not bad shit either, made my night finding that. Already went out today to pick up a g of ye olde marching candy, got home, did that, and then found another.

Wouldn't have bothered getting out of bed today if I knew that was there, I was quite happy lazing around in bed, and did NOT feel like getting out of bed and going to the city center.

Almost got stuck there, as I'd lost (or rather, thought I'd lost, it had sunk into the lining of my coat) part of the money I needed for tram fare home. Didn't bother on the way in, saved a bit getting a one-way fare home (wouldn't have bothered if I had nothing on me, but as it happens there were ticket inspectors all round town and I couldn't have got away with it from where I was.

Thought I'd not enough, then on cancelling my ticket purchase, the machine spewed out more money than I put in in the first place in change, more than enough to get me home even if I hadn't found the quid in my coat lining.

My lucky day so far, I kept finding bits of money RIGHT when I needed it, and almost exactly  WHAT I needed every time.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.
