Some wire and 3 display boards with bathroom fixtures mounted on them, towels bars, rings, soap dishes and such, a lot of brass.

Brass is always good. 8)

$1.70 a lb. on the last load, but it was mixed with copper. Found a bunch of old valves from some plumbing work.

Whole tiny load was $101.00 though, mostly #2 copper.

The closer you are to a port it seems the more money you get and there is one in the city I bring scrap to. I get just over $3 on clean copper and $0.12 on light steel.

Lead is another one fetching good prices, at least time i scrapped 'owt in.

Bit of a bugger to carry if transport isn't available though.

A small locked security box that I had forgotten I had.  I broke it open (no key, just used a knife and pried it open) because it had something in it.  Maybe $$$$$$$$$$$$?  Nope, checkbooks for 3 accounts and some old debit cards.  Darn.

This actually happened a week and a half ago, but I found a dime in the washing machine at home.
It wasn't mine, one of the neighbors had left it in a pocket before doing laundry.  I put it on top of the dryer.
Three days later it was still there, so now it is mine.  You snooze, you lose.  >:D

A bunch of newer college textbooks, unfortunately some had water damage and were trashed again. But a few on nursing remained untouched. $$
