Yes. Although I'm wondering if I'm experiencing some unwanted side effects with the concerta.

What possible side effects?

I took my meds last night, including calcium and a multivitamin with extra Vitamin D.

I remembered the weekly med, but forgot the morning meds.  Oh, well

My heart beat is a bit irregular at times. I feel shortness of breath. And I feel slightly hyper after the med should be out of my body.

I wonder if the hyper feeling after the medicine is out of your body is just that, because one of the uses of Concerta is to tone down the hyperactivity of ADHD.

How long have you been taking it?

A little more than a week. I didn't use to be that hyper. My problem is more that of ADD without the H.

Mine too, feeling hyper now must feel uncomfortable.  :-\

Concerta is long-acting Ritalin isn't it? It is expensive here if you are diagnosed as an adult (but if diagnosed as a child, it is available on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme which makes it $5.60 per prescription).

Recently I found out that there are more medications for ADHD available in the US than here in Australia. For instance, we don't have Adderall here. Dexamphetamine, Ritalin, Concerta and Strattera is all we have I think.

I took all my meds today. :)

I don't think Concerta and Ritalin are the same but Concerta is long-acting.

I don't think Concerta and Ritalin are the same but Concerta is long-acting.

Concerta and Ritalin are both methylphenidate, so they are the same medication, but Concerta delivers the medication over an eight to twelve hour period as opposed to all at once, like ordinary Ritalin does.

Thanks. :plus:

My doc says I need to stop taking it. He suspects it is causing my problems.
