Got some really good news from someone I know on Facebook who's an ADHD coach. Vyvanse (long-acting dexamphetamine) has finally been approved to go on the PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) for adults with ADHD. This means instead of costing hundreds of dollars for a script, it will be around $5.80. Before this was only available to children and adults who had been diagnosed as children.

It will take about six months to happen but I can wait.

It has always irked me that Kayleigh takes Vyvanse. She was diagnosed when she was 5. I was diagnosed when I was 26. So no Vyvanse for me as I could never afford it.

This is going to be excellent, just one dose in the morning then no worries about having to time the next dose. So easy.

Woke up too late to take my morning meds. The cats woke me early enough to take them but I was forgetful and went back to bed after feeding them.

No. They're for controlling the bad cholesterol in my blood and for fixing my D-vitamin deficiency.

Once you are on those, docs usually want to work up blood tests every six months to keep up to date with your needs and the effectiveness of the dosage.
Alter your diet a bit and watch for your next bloodwork.
I took all mine a little early, but I felt a need after becoming quite hot outside.

I get the same results these days. Lots of cholesterol, but just a little too much of the bad kind. Doc says to eat more greens, certain grains and get more exercise.
