I looked at it for a minute and considered it.

When you say byte are you implying that each letter should be converted to its binary form?  Oh, and by interleaved did you mean extras inserted or was it in the form of parity?

1. No, simply referring to one character. 2. Parity: they are to be taken alternatively from, according to the current character count.

Alright, since it's evidently needed, I'll make it very, very simple:

1. Place each of two copies of my username on a separate line.
2. ROT-13 one of them.
3. Combine (interleave) the odd characters from one with the even characters of the other.
4. If you got the copies mixed up (not that I specified any order), ROT-13 the answer.
