Badger Golden Champion Ale. Not bad, if a little too sweet.

A lot of wheat beers are too sweet for me, but I had a Bohemia Weiss  recommended to me today by the "resident expert" at the new store we have in town. He claims it's really Belgian in its character. (... OK ...) I do know that it's pretty good.

It has a raw taste that I really like. I will get this one again.

Oh, it's a product of Brazil.

belgian my arse. having said which, witbiers are more citric and less sweet than hefeweizens, but that looks to be a hefe for sure. if you prefer them less sweet, you might like schneider weisse - its a darker one with a roastier flavour, which offsets the sweet esters a bit.

Yeah, when he said Belgian, I believed him. When I opened it, I wondered ... was he trying foolishly to sound cool to someone who really doesn't know that much about beer or is he really just stupid, with a nice store.

I've had Schneider and Sohn Weissbier. It's more to my taste, but gawdawful expensive, here.

Coffee. But I'm sure it's beer night tonight, isn't it? :P

why yes. yes it is.

right now - diet coke. off on aforementioned clothes hunt. hoping supermarkets are quiet and they have my sizes - I dont really want to have to trail round tomorrow, the thought of negotiating multiple clothes shops trying to get clothes to fit is enough to make me want another beer right now. :hide:
