Thwaites Lancashire Brown Ale. :glug: Its smooth, richer and more flavoursome than Newkie Brown DD - if you come across it try a bottle.  8)

I'm familiar with the name, but haven't had it, yet. It's one of the dozen or so "new to me" brews, I saw a few days ago at a new store. I know I love brown ale and I'm not a practicing tee-totaler, anymore.

Good beer is one of the great pleasures in life, up there with sleep, music and fucking. In no particular order.  8)

Moved on to Thwaites Lancaster Bomber, a hoppy, medium bodied premium bitter with good balance. A nice session beer. :glug:

Exactly, One of Life's Great Pleasures, but I don't want to get back into the habit of medicating myself every single day with alcohol to try to treat sensory dysfunctions. Now that I know what this shit is, handling it has become somewhat easier, especially with the help of my loving wife, who deserves more credit than I can possibly offer.

I am not allergic to my food! That was my clinical diagnosis from about twelve years ago.  Fucking quacks!! 

I can enjoy a good beer, much more, now that I don't have a sense of personal weakwilledness from drinking it or an influence pushing the notion that it is killing me.
