I think it's mostly because I have a huge issue with confrontation / being confrontational. I tend to feel like criticism is a direct attack on my person, and it makes me shrink away in the same way that I do when I'm confronted about something.My self-esteem tends to be rather low because I don't find myself physically attractive, which in turn makes me feel somehow worthless as a person. I'd love to be rid of that, but I'm afraid it seems to take more effort than just telling my mirror that I'm a wonderful person. :p
