Interesting article Callaway. Does the cookie sheet distribute the heat more evenly? I believe that how thin the mix is in the bottom of my 8X8 pan has more to do with it than the oven setting since my cornbread doesn't burn on the edges when the oven is set to the temp specified in the directions. Finding that within 50 degrees is considered accurate is very surprising given that that is 12.5% of 400 degrees.

I have found that it does, but I have an airbake cookie sheet.

I think the article means that fluctuations of fifty degrees between the low and high temperature happen.

Right now, I'm taking advantage of the very cold weather outside to defrost my freezer.

All the stuff from the freezer is outside except for a couple of freezer containers of chicken broth which were stuck in the frost.

Shopping for a new head torch.  I have a Petzl Tikka that I use almost every day, but it's about 5 years old and showing it's age, and I want something that's brighter, takes larger batteries and doesn't have certain mechanical issues that annoy me with my current head torch.
