more time elapses (in the case of wine) then the better it tastes and stronger the effect.

and as the interests mounts (as in the case of the highly anticipated novel) the sweeter the day and the larger the reception and more favorable are the reviews.

Yeah but you also have to remember things that are highly anticipated often leave people feeling ripped off and wondering what all the hype was about.
