Hmm, it might. I once dyed mine "light auburn brown" and guess what colour it went. Pitch black. I think someone swapped the bottles in the packet or something. Try leaving the dye in for the least amount of time it says in the instructions.

I remember my first BF's mum dying her hair with a brown slightly lighter than mine and she ended up going blue black. I hope I don't end up that colour :GA:
